Head on out and go for a walk
While Connecticut is not known for it's high vistas, there are some beautiful views and hosting a portion of the Appalachian trail, the southern end of The New England trail, Connecticut does have trails of note.

Along side of trails that are maintained by the Connecticut Forest and Park Association (CFPA), there are also shelters and campsites maintained by Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection that can be reserved and used free of charge.

Breathtaking adventures
Walk one of Connecticut's long trails or piece together a long trail of your own. Pachaug forest is one of Connecticut's state forests and host to 70 miles of trail alone, with trails like Narragansett Trail or the Pachaug Trail.
